Total Mileage: 148
US-412 has become one of my more traveled highways in the past two months and I found myself headed east very early on Saturday morning. My boss and I were attending a chapter retreat and brainstorming session near Jenks, Oklahoma. While at the retreat, everyone had good ideas, discussion and direction. Should be a great year to be involved with OSU and the Chapter that covers the greater Tulsa area.
A short three hours later, my boss and I were famished and done thinking for the day. We decided to get lunch and hang out a bit more in Tulsa while we had an open Saturday. She was interested in eating at an unusual or non-chain place, which I would always prefer, so we ended up at The Brook. Foursquare provided several tips for ordering, and there were many tips to order the mac and cheese as a side item. So following the masses, I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap with a side of mac and cheese. The portions were huge and the food was incredibly good.
After lunch, we stopped at one more great place, Whole Foods Market. We loaded up on tasty fruit, cheese and snacks for the next week then headed home. Although we had to get up very early, it was nice getting home before 3 p.m. and having an entire afternoon at home.
Magnificent: The Brook mac and cheese
Manure: Waking up at 5:30 a.m. on a Saturday
